It is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and a crucial component of the Chota Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, India. It is situated in the town of Badrinath in the Chamoli district. The magnificent Garhwal Himalayas around the temple, which is located on the banks of the Alaknanda River.

Day 1: GETTING TO UKHIMATH FROM HARIDWAR (205 km, 7–8 hours)
Drive to Ukhimath after being picked up from the Haridwar hotel. Check in at the hotel when you arrive. In preparation for your trip to Kedarnath the next day, have your medical examination completed later. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Ukhimath.
DAY 02: 18KMS TREK FROM UKHIMATH TO KEDARNATH
After breakfast in the morning, drive to Sonprayag. From there, begin the trek to Kedarnath (3584 m) either on foot or on a pony or doli. For an overnight stop at Kedarnath, tour participants should bring personal medications, thick clothing, toiletries, and clothing. Check into the tent. Visit Kedarnath Temple afterwards.
Gaurikund: Five kilometers from Sonprayag, at an elevation of 1982 meters, this location offers a hot spring for bathing and a chance to see the Gauri Temple. Goddess Parvathi pondered here in order to become a devotee of Lord Shiva. It serves as the starting point for the Kedarnath hike.
Kedarnath: The magnificent Kedarnath range serves as the backdrop for the picturesque Kedarnath shrine, one of Lord Shiva's twelve jyotirlingas. Lord Shiva, the destroyer and guardian, is also known as Kedar. Legend has it that after defeating the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, the Pandavas felt bad for killing their own brothers and turned to Lord Shiva for forgiveness. He frequently escaped them and sought sanctuary at Kedarnath in the shape of a bull. He left his hump on the ground as he plunged into the dirt while being pursued. The remaining parts of Lord Shiva are revered in four more locations where he manifested. At Tungnath, the arms emerged, followed by Rudranath's face, Madhmaheshwar's abdomen, and Kalpeshwar's locks (hair) and head. Panch Kedar is the name given to Kedarnath and the four shrines listed above.
DAY 3: TREK 18 KMS from Kedarath to Ukhimat
After Darshan in the morning, go to Arti and do some sightseeing. After arriving, spend the night at a motel before returning to Ukhimath.
DAY 04: 170KMS/5HR from UKHIMATH to BADRINATH
After breakfast in the morning, travel via Joshimath to Badrinath. Check into the hotel. Visit the Badrinath Temple for Aarti later in the evening. Spend the night.
One of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in the nation, Badrinath, also known as the "Four Dhams," is located at an elevation of 3,133 meters and is surrounded by the majestic Neelkanth Peak and the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. Wild berries previously covered this hallowed area. Thus, "Badri van" (meaning "forest of berries") was given to the location.
DAY 5: JOSHIMATH-BADRINATH (76KMS/2HR)
Early in the morning, pilgrims receive the Darshan of Badrivishal following a bath in the Taptkund. For the Pinddan Shraddh of forefathers (Pitrus), Brahamakamal is important. Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the Saraswati River's "Mukh" are some further noteworthy tourist destinations. Badrinathjee is only three kilometers away. Afterward, return to Joshimat by car. Check into the hotel. (Spending the night in the hotel)
It is traditional to have a bath in Tapt Kund, a natural thermal spring on the Alaknanda River's bank, prior to visiting the Badrinath temple.
Narad Kund: The Badrinath idol was unearthed from a pool formed by a river recess close to Tapt Kund.
Brahama Kapal: A level area beside the Alaknanda River. Hindus honor their departed ancestors with propitiating ceremonies.
Sheshnetra: 1.5 kilometers away, a boulder has the image of the fabled snake, also called the Sheshnag's eye.
Charanpaduka: Lord Vishnu's footprint can be seen on a boulder in this lovely meadow, which is 3 km away.
Mata Murty Temple: Honoring Sri Badrinathji's mother. Charanpaduka, Urvashi Temple, and Sesh Netra Temple are more significant temples.
Vasundhara: This stunning waterfall is exactly what its name implies. This location is five kilometers from Badrinath, of which two kilometers can be driven to Mana.
Bhim Pul: A huge rock that forms a natural bridge across the thundering Saraswati river is located on the opposite side of Mana village. It is thought to have been positioned there by Bhim, the second oldest of the five Pandava brothers, and offers a breathtaking view of water pouring down through the small opening beneath the rock.
Ved Vyas is thought to have written the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentary in the rock cave known as Vyas Gufa, which is close to Mana Village.
DAY 06: PIPALKOTI, AULI, AND JOSHIMATH
You will start your exploration of Auli today. You will first be shown Auli Lake, one of the highest artificial lakes in the world. It is one of a kind in terms of aesthetic attractiveness and is situated in a special place. The Auli Ropeway will be your next stop. Prepare to see Auli, the city's main tourist destination. Auli is a well-known skiing destination that draws visitors from all over the world. With the cable cars on the ropeway, you may get a broad perspective of the surrounding forest and the Himalayan environment. For the remainder of the day, you are free to explore the area.After that, drive to Pipalkoti and spend the night at a motel.
DAY 07: 260 km (5–6 hours) from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh to Haridwar
After breakfast in the morning, you travel downhill to Rishikesh, the world's yoga capital and a spiritual city. When you arrive in Rishikesh, you will visit Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula as part of your itinerary. Drive down to Haridwar in the evening.
